But when I saw how these guys handle their business, it was the least I could do to give my opinion. I am so impressed with it actually, that I have never been so compelled to write a review for anything. For what it does, and the improved functionality and speed, I am truly surprised that it is as cheap as it is.
I was really able to tell they took the time, listened to the input, and assured that this app would by dynamite. Very impressive! I wish all developers were as concerned with satisfaction as these guys are! Ok, back to the app.
Free cnet dupe away update#
The new update however is FANTASTIC! I had a technical issue on my end, so I contacted their support section and they went above and beyond (very very quickly, by the way) to solve my issue. I had DupeAway2 for the past couple of years and I rarely had any issues except sometimes the process would take awhile because I have about 12,000 songs in my library. Thank god Apple has a good support! Giving a half start as there isn't negative start to give. Bummer.! oh since I downloaded Dupe Away my Mac has been crashing a lot so one they way to a genius bar to see if they can help me. I was very excited when I found Dupe away and thought I was finally have a clean itunes. I hope it buy them a couple of beers at least. So it looks like I just gave those guys 12 dollars. Yet I still haven't heard anything from them. I could've probably done it manually and finished by now.

I am desperate at this point, ran the software again to see what happens and it's now going thru the 379 duplicates again and it's bee over 5 hours and it hasn't got to the half point. I sent more emails to support and nothing. I emailed them and got one reply asking me what kind of OS I had. After various attempt and lots of frozen computer crash it still only found 379 duplicates. When it was done, I ran again to see if it could find the rest. I ran the thing for almost an entire day. I said what the hell better than nothing.
Dupe Away analyzed my files and found 379 only. After it was supposedly done all the empty files were still in my Itunes. It said I had 3900 empty files, which was true, I ran the thing over night just to wake up and find that it didn't work. First I tried their feature that cleans the empty files. I have emailed them a few times, at least 5 times, asking for help and nothing. I just bought Dupe Away and got a feeling I got duped.
